The cottage was cosy and comfortable and furnishings were inkeeping and was enjoyed by all three generations of our party. The golf was great fun and the course was better than we expected. Having the manor house on the doorstep was a bonus and the gardens in particular were beautiful. Lots of interesting places to visit nearby and everyone was very welcoming. We hopefully will be returning to this property next year. Many thanks. Mr C, Birchington, Kent 30 October 2010
Ideal for me as i'm disabled. Downstairs bedroom bathroom etc. Made to feel very welcome in the house. Lift in main house to see film "from time to time" filmed in Athelhampton. Helpful staff. Welcoming pack appreciated. Lovely family home, met them all including Tolly the spaniel! Brought home some home grown plants. Will definitely recommend to friends & family. First class. have used other companies. This is the best ! Mrs G, Beckenham, Kent 27 September 2010
Probably the best holiday cottage we have stayed in both in England and abroad. Excellent location and very children friendly. Set in the lovely countryside of Dorset, with plenty of place to visit. If you want a relaxing location, this is it!! Mr M, Aylesford, Kent 06 June 2010
Outstanding cottage in great location. Use of adjacent golf course was unusual but very welcome facility. Excellent central location for Dorset tourist attractions. Good friendly local pub. Mr M, worsley, manchester 28 September 2009
Fantastic cottage with three amazing bedrooms. Loved the use of the golf course and even better our kids had us net fishing in the river every day without fail! Idyllic setting and entry into Athelhampton house and gardens was a real bonus and a fab day out. Mr M, Haywards Heath, West Sussex 14 September 2009
The location is unique and we loved having the golf course outside the backdoor which was at our disposal. Mrs G, READING 13 June 2009
This holiday really was the best I have had, it was perfect for all my family, my 80 year old mum down to my 2 year old son - there was something for us all to do and see. The cottage was a dream as were the grounds and the staff were fantastic and very helpful. We have such great and special memories that I can't wait to go and experience them all again next year - thank you! Mrs G, TWICKENHAM 05 June 2009
River Cottage is a lovely house, beautifully equipped and everyone at Athelhampton House is friendly, welcoming and helpful. Highly recommended. Mrs N, London 20 February 2009
Absolutely excellent accommodation for a family due to the seperate ensuite facilities. Beautiful and centrally located! Mr M, Stafford, Staffordshire 13 July 2007
The cottage is idyllic and very private, although very near to the house and gardens and a very good restaurant. We found everything we needed and will certainly return! Mr H, Wareham, Dorset 25 May 2007
